Overview

Histopathology is the microscopic examination of tissue to study the manifestations of disease, providing essential diagnostic and prognostic information across medical specialties. Studies have examined diverse pathological entities including neurofibromas undergoing malignant transformation, lipomatous neoplasms, hemangiomas presenting with atypical clinical features, and epidermoid cysts in unusual anatomical locations. Histopathological analysis has been applied to evaluate tumors in exceptional locations that pose diagnostic challenges, as well as inflammatory conditions such as Mooren's ulcer and cytomegalovirus esophagitis.
