IOLcano Eruption: Eye on Fire With Rubeosis Iridis' Lava Flow

A 40-year-old male presented with visual impairment in the right eye (OD). He had undergone a pars plana vitrectomy for retinal detachment in the OD three years prior. Biomicroscopic examination revealed significant hyperemia, rubeosis iridis, anterior subluxation of the intraocular lens (IOL), and an organized hyphema located in the inferior third of the anterior chamber, characterized by the entrapment of iris tissue between the anterior synechia and the IOL. Fire is an uncontrolled combustion that causes material damage and endangers human lives. Combustion is a chemical process that causes the oxidation of the fuel constituents of a some kind fuel. It is a process between fuel and oxidants in which heat is generated due to changes in chemical constituents. By releasing heat, it may occur light in the form of annealing or flame. There are accidental and arson fires. This work is dedicated to all firefighters in the world who very often find themselves in situations where they save the lives of others while neglecting their own safety. Firefighters are the heroes of modern times.

Molecular Survey on Symbiodinium of Some Scleractinean Coral Spp. and a Fire Coral sp. along the Red Sea of Egypt

The present study introduce an overview on the cladal structure of Symbiodinium population associated with some species of scleractinean corals and fire coral in the Egyptian Red Sea coast and discuss the possible consequences of recent climate changes on coral reefs. Cladal structure of Symbiodinium populations associated with eight keystone species of scleractinean corals and one species of fire coral that collected along Egyptian Red Sea coast, during 2012-2013, had been resolved based on 18S nrDNA and ITS2 genetic markers. Only Symbiodinium subclades C1 and A1 were identified from all examined species. Symbiodinium C1 was the dominant subclade that associated with 61% of coral samples. Results revealed that the studied pocilloporid corals were associated with Symbiodinium C1 and/or A1 while acroporids were only associated with Symbiodinium C1. The present data also indicated that Symbiodinium C1 occurred at high densities than A1 or A1+C1 combination. Because of the relative thermal susceptibility of clades C and A, the current study addresses that the recent climate changes may derive dramatic changes on community structure of coral reefs at the Red Sea.

Vulnerabilities in Environment and Health Due to Climate Change and Extreme Hydrological Events: Determinants for Risk Reduction

This short communication/mini-review immensely emphasizes human health to explicate and elucidate management of the global scourge associated with the determinants and impact of vulnerabilities to extreme hydrologic events and climate change in the absence of risk reduction and their concomitant sequelae. The most effective approach for risk reduction associated with biodiversity, environmental, and health vulnerabilities due to climate change and extreme hydrological events, an ecological framework must take into cognizance exposure, vulnerability, and resilience. This framework emphasizes the significance of understanding the inextricable linkage between ecosystems and human communities are exposed and susceptible to hazards, sensitivity to these hazards, and capacity to cope, adapt and recuperate. Risk reduction incorporates structurally attenuating exposure, strengthening resilience, and sustainably enhancing overall vulnerability management. Extreme weather and climate-associated incidents impinge on human health with consequential morbidity, mortality and socioeconomic challenges and constraints. Climate change and extreme event have altered the frequency, intensity, geographic distribution, and propensity as drivers for change in the future. The indicted variables include hydrological events, such as precipitation, floods and droughts as well as heat waves, wildfires, global warming, extreme temperatures, and hurricanes. The pathways inextricably-linked with extreme events to economic dissipation, human health prognosis and outcomes remain inexplicably diverse and complex; and thus, difficult to predict due to their emergence and reemergence from local, societal and environmental factors which influence disease burden.

Cosmic Surgery: Development of a New Non-Invasive Technique in Modern Surgery.

Cosmic surgery is a non-invasive operation developed by applying modern astronomical discoveries to surgical science. Scientific cosmology is the study of the universe through physics and astronomy. Religious cosmology explains the universe based on religious scriptures. According to religious cosmology, the universe consists of hell, heaven, and earth. Earth is surrounded by hell, and hell is surrounded by heaven. Astronomers explored the universe and found billions of galaxies of stars all around the earth made of hellish fire. The location of the stars and hells in the universe and their characteristics are identical. Comparative study shows that all the stars in the visible galaxies of the universe are religious hells. The discovery of hells in the lower universe confirms the existence of heavens in the inaccessible upper universe that has been predicted in the Holy Scriptures. This astronomical discovery is not only a message to mankind but also a recombinant cosmic signal all over the world, which is generated for the exploration of the cosmos by prophets and astronomers. According to the supernatural theory of disease, supernatural virus infects the prefrontal cortex of the human brain and disrupts the normal spirit of executive functions including reasoning, planning, motivation, and problem solving that leads people to a delusional lifestyle and behavior and alters the dynamic equilibrium between man and environment, and causes all physical, mental, social, and spiritual disorders, national, international, and inter-religious conflicts and wars in the world. Cosmic surgery is a non-invasive operation applying above mentioned cosmic signal to the human brain to sterilize the whole world from the supernatural virus that can change our sick world into a healthier, happier, and prosperous world like a terrestrial paradise.

Distribution and Conservation Challenges of Diurnal Large Mammals in Bayo Community Managed Forest, Salamago Woreda, South Omo Zone, Southern Ethiopia

An ecological study on diurnal mammals was carried out in Bayo Community Managed Forest located in Salamago Woreda, South Omo Zone. The objective of the study was to investigate the distribution and conservation challenges of diurnal large mammals in the study area. Based on the habitat type and topography of the study area, total of 11 transect, i.e 7 in forestland, and 4 in Wooded Grassland were laid to collect the data. Besides direct methods, indirect methods such as faecal droppings, fresh tracks, carcass or shell count, den (burrow), hair, and digging were used. Questionnaire and focus group discussions were also used to assess anthropogenic threats in the study area. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, SPSS and QGIS software. A total of 20 species of diurnal large mammals belonging to six orders and eight families were identified. The species identified were Cercopithecus pygerythrus, Cercopithecus aethiops, Papio anubis, Erytherocebus patas, Cercopitheus neglectus, Colobus guereza, Equus quagga, Traglaphus strepsiceros, Traglaphus imberbis, Traglaphus scriptus, Medagua guentheri, Sylvicapra grimma, Kobus ellipsiprymnus defessa, Syncerrus caffer, Potamochoerus larvatus, Phacochoerus africanus, Hylochoerus meinertzhageni, Hystrix cristata, Orycteropus afer, and Phataginus temminckii smutus. Seasonal variation in the between habitat types (χ2 = 4.849, df= 1, p<0.05). Totally, 685 and 600 mammals were counted during wet and dry seasons, respectively. On habitat basis, 683 and 602 animals were recorded in forestland and wooded grassland habitats, respectively. Major threats in the study area include poaching, fire, grazing, fuelwood extraction, population growth, habitat modification, overharvesting of resources and invasive species. About 98.44% of respondents had a positive attitude towards Bayo Community Managed Forest. The interference of local community has had the impact on mammal’s species. Habitat based mammals’ management involving participation of Woreda and Zonal Government is recommended for sustainable. The local government should promote the study area and provide appropriate support for its conservation.

Fingerprints are commonly used for identification 1. All records are computerized. In a catastrophe recorded images of soft tissue may become useless if the tissues burn throughout. Dental prints are rarely used for identification. Information is taken from dental radiographs or dental casts. In case of fire recorded images of dental structures may be useful because they do not readily burn.

The Study on Dual Fuel Spray and Characteristics of Combustion of Diesel, Natural Gas and Dual Fuel

Combustion of fossil fuels provides around 88% of total energy supply for modern society, and meanwhile causes many environ mental problems and social problems such as air pollution and energy crisis. Therefore,both at home and abroad are focusing on the research and development of natural gas engine recently. However, the mass production and application of this kind of engine are restricted by some unsolved technical difficulties. This paper explored the injection, combustion and emission processes of diesel/ natural gas and dual fuel engine based on Chemkin II, Fire software and Schlieren method. The experimental study on the mixing process of dual fuel jet was carried out by using high-speed Schlieren method in a constant volume bomb. Based on the Fire software, and then applied to Chemkin II software to analyze the effect of the initial temperature and pressure on the net heat production and combustion emissions. The results show that Dual fuel mechanism is capable of producing different heat production behaviors when varying the initial pressure and temperature CO2 emissions are minimized by changing the initial pressure above or below the atmospheric value. However, CO emissions are peaked when diesel fuel is used. The dual fuel engine minimizes the CO emissions amount caused by diesel fuel. Increasing the initial pressure eliminates dual fuel CO2 combustion emissions. The research of this paper is important to optimize the in cylinder combustion processes of natural gas engine, and have a certain important meaning to guide the development of diesel ignition dual fuel engine.

Understanding Ubl-Rpn1 Intermolecular Interaction

ALS is the neurodegenerative disease which is caused due to breakdown in interaction between UBL and rpn1. In this study, we explore the interaction of UBL and rpn1 which is involved in protein degradation. Protein recycling system plays a crucial role in degradation of deformed or damaged proteins. Task of degradation of damaged ubiquitinated proteins is completed by proteasome with the help of ubiquilin2 protein which links 19s proteasome and poly-Ub chain attached to damaged protein. More specifically, N-terminal UBL domain interacts with rpn1 subunit of base complex of 19s proteasome and C-terminal UBA domain interacts with tetra poly-Ub chain attached to damaged protein. In present study, UBL domains are docked against homology modeled rpn1 with the help of Patch dock server. Further the docked structures are refined using fire dock server and best docked structure is chosen having global energy -16.71. Best docked structures are analyzed using swiss-pdb viewer software to show hydrogen bonds between interacting proteins. Here we explore a mutation E6A and P11A in UBL structure with the help of YASARA which is significantly increasing the interaction between interacting proteins in terms of hydrogen bonds.
