Overview
Computational tools are software programs, algorithms, and modeling frameworks used to analyze data, simulate processes, and solve complex problems that are difficult to address through experiment or observation alone. In Systems Biology, such tools are essential for representing and interpreting the behavior of biological networks, integrating large and heterogeneous datasets, and building models that capture how genes, proteins, metabolites, and cells interact as interconnected systems. They include statistical and bioinformatics pipelines, network and pathway analysis software, molecular simulation and structure-prediction methods, and increasingly machine learning approaches that extract patterns from high-throughput data.
