Cytology Techniques

Cytology is a branch of science that focuses on the study of cells, their structure, function and interactions. It is used to detect diseases, evaluate the effect of drugs, evaluate tissue samples and more. Cytology techniques are methods used to collect and analyze cells in order to detect abnormalities and inform diagnoses. Specific techniques include cytocentrifugation, fine needle aspiration, flow cytometry, and microscopy. These techniques provide valuable information to help healthcare professionals make accurate diagnoses and develop appropriate treatments.
