Genomics

Genomics is the study of the structure, function, and evolution of an organism’s entire set of genetic material (genome). The insights gained from genomics have led to a more thorough understanding of diseases, genetic mutations, and even the development of tailored treatments. Genomics is also being used to develop new plant and animal varieties, and optimize agricultural and industrial processes. Through its application to health, food security and human welfare, genomics is revolutionizing modern life.
