Psychopathology

Psychopathology is the scientific study of mental disorders, including their causes, symptoms, and effects. It examines the biological, psychological, and social causes of mental illness and aims to understand how these factors contribute to the development or maintenance of mental health. Its purpose is to identify and treat mental health problems in an effort to improve a person’s quality of life. Research in psychopathology can lead to improved diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, and it can increase the understanding of mental health among medical professionals and the public.
