Biography

Amir Azarniya is affiliated with Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Tehran, Iran, where his research focuses on advanced materials engineering, including nanocomposites, surface composites, and nanofibrous systems. His most-cited publication, "Enhanced wear and corrosion resistance of Al–Al2O3 surface composites via hybridization by AlxTiy nanophase intermetallics" (2025), exemplifies his contributions to materials performance enhancement. He has published extensively on carbon nanotube-reinforced metal and ceramic matrix nanocomposites, spark plasma sintering techniques, and the development of functional nanomaterials for structural and biomedical applications. Azarniya achieved notable academic distinctions, ranking 2nd nationally (out of approximately 5,000 candidates) in the entrance examination for Master of Science in Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology and 3rd (out of approximately 6,000) in Materials Science and Engineering.
