Biography

Professor Rifat Ullah Khan serves as Professor at The University of Agriculture, Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. His research focuses on animal nutrition, poultry science, and alternative protein sources, with particular emphasis on evaluating insect meals as sustainable replacements for conventional feed ingredients in livestock diets. He has received multiple Research Productivity Awards from the Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (2011, 2012, and 2014) and maintains active membership in professional societies including the International Society of Camelid Research and Development and the Australian Society of Animal Production. With over 38 indexed publications, his most-cited work, "Evaluating the nutritive profile of three insect meals and their effects to replace soya bean in broiler diet" (2017), has garnered 82 citations, reflecting his significant contributions to sustainable animal production systems.
