Biography

Graziella Curtale is affiliated with the Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy, where her research focuses on the regulatory roles of microRNAs in innate and adaptive immunity. Her work has elucidated mechanisms by which non-coding RNAs modulate immune cell activation, polarization, and signaling pathways, particularly in macrophages and T lymphocytes. She has made significant contributions to understanding how microRNAs such as miR-146b, miR-187, and miR-511-5p regulate Toll-like receptor signaling and cytokine production in response to inflammatory stimuli and immunomodulatory signals like IL-10 and glucocorticoids. Her most-cited publication, "Glucocorticoids downregulate TLR4 signaling activity via its direct targeting by miR-511-5p" (2017), has been cited 39 times and exemplifies her expertise in the epigenetic control of immune responses.
