Biography

Jorge Matias-Guiu is a Catedrático (Full Professor) at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain. He received his education at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Hospital Vall d'Hebron. His research encompasses neurological disorders, with particular emphasis on multiple sclerosis, remyelination, amyloid imaging, motor neuron diseases, and post-COVID neurological sequelae. His most-cited publication, "Multimodal neuroimaging in post-COVID syndrome and correlation with cognition" (2022), has received 190 citations, and he has authored more than 41 indexed publications addressing therapeutic targets in demyelinating diseases, amyloid positron emission tomography tracers, and cognitive outcomes in neurological conditions.
