Biography

Udaya Kumar Tiruttani Subhramanyam is a postdoctoral fellow at Forschungszentrum Jülich, Jülich, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. His research encompasses structural biology and molecular pharmacology, with notable contributions to understanding G protein-coupled receptors, toxin-antitoxin systems, and apoptotic regulatory proteins. His work includes elucidating the structural basis for regulatory interactions of proapoptotic Par-4, investigating adrenergic agonist binding to the mu opioid receptor, and determining the crystal structure of the VapBC-15 complex from Mycobacterium tuberculosis. His most-cited publication, "Single Stabilizing Point Mutation Enables High‐Resolution Co‐Crystal Structures of the Adenosine A2A Receptor with Preladenant Conjugates" (2022), has been cited 20 times and demonstrates his expertise in receptor structural biology and crystallographic techniques.
