Aims and Scope

Journal of Experimental and Clinical Toxicology (JECT) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research on the toxicological effects of chemicals, drugs, industrial pollutants, and environmental contaminants. The journal serves as a platform for disseminating high-quality studies that explore the impact of toxic substances on biological systems, with a focus on both experimental research in laboratory models and clinical investigations in human subjects.

JECT welcomes contributions from researchers, clinicians, and toxicology professionals in the scope of analytical and toxicological chemistry, behavioral toxicology, biotoxicity, clinical toxicology, forensic toxico-legal medicine, immunotoxicology, in vitro toxicology, molecular toxicology, nanotoxicology, neurotoxicology, occupational health, ophthalmological toxicology, pathophysiology, pulmonary toxicology, reproductive toxicology, teratology, and toxicogenomics.

Scope and Focus: JECT covers a broad spectrum of topics in toxicology, including but not limited to:

  • Toxicity Testing & Mechanisms: Investigations into the biochemical, cellular, and molecular effects of toxicants.
  • Pharmacokinetics & Toxicokinetics: Studies on the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of toxic substances.
  • Environmental & Occupational Toxicology: Impact of industrial pollutants, pesticides, and hazardous substances.
  • Nanotoxicology & Emerging Fields: Assessment of nanomaterials and their biological interactions.
  • Computational & Systems Toxicology: Use of artificial intelligence(AI), modeling, and bioinformatics in toxicity prediction.
  • Clinical & Forensic Toxicology: Studies on poisoning, overdose management, and toxic exposure in medical settings.
  • Regulatory Toxicology & Risk Assessment: Policies, guidelines, and safety regulations for chemical hazards.
  • Ecotoxicology & Public Health: Effects of pollutants on ecosystems and long-term health consequences.
