Journal of Skeletal Muscle

Aims and Scope

Journal of Skeletal Muscle (JSM) is an open access, peer-reviewed, scholarly journal dedicated to publishing research papers encompassing the diverse aspects of muscle physiology and pathophysiology. The scope of the journal includes topics such as muscle physiology, muscle biochemistry, muscle anatomy, muscle histology and pathology, muscle mechanics, muscle metabolism, and muscle diseases. By promoting the open access of research, JSM facilitates the diffusion of knowledge in the scientific community by providing articles that are accessible to scientists, clinicians, and anyone interested in muscle science.

The journal publishes original research, reviews, and editorial articles that are related to skeletal muscle are cell biology, physiology, histochemistry, gene expression, muscle force, and metabolism, medical aspects of muscle diseases, including diagnosis and treatment, sports medicine, physical activity, exercise, and nutrition, novel findings from basic research, and clinical findings from the diagnosis and treatment of muscle diseases. Structured reviews and opinion articles are also welcome.

JSM seeks to facilitate the collaboration among researchers, clinicians, and scientists by providing a platform for the dissemination of research in the field of skeletal muscle. Our aim is to promote the most accurate and up-to-date information on skeletal muscle, in order to facilitate the advancement of scientific and medical knowledge and to improve the quality of care for patients with muscle diseases. We strive to become the premier journal in the field of skeletal muscle and to shape the future of research and clinical practice in the area.
