Biography
Dr. Hakan Yigitbas, born in Antakya in 1977, is a general surgeon affiliated with Health Science University, Turkey, with over a decade of clinical and research experience. His work spans advanced surgical techniques and translational research, including endoscopic interventions for pancreatic pseudocysts, laparoscopic and robotic approaches to hepatobiliary and adrenal surgery, and the application of indocyanine green fluorescence imaging in thyroid and parathyroid surgery. His most-cited publication, "A comparison of the quantitative evaluation of in situ parathyroid gland perfusion by indocyanine green fluorescence angiography and by visual examination in thyroid surgery" (2020), reflects his contributions to intraoperative imaging technologies. With over 12 indexed publications, his research also explores wound healing and metabolic factors in experimental models, addressing both oncologic and benign surgical conditions.
