Editorial Policies
Standards that protect scientific integrity in women's reproductive health publishing.
Ethics-First Editorial Practice
JWRH follows COPE-aligned principles for peer review, transparency, and research integrity.
Our policies protect authors, reviewers, and readers while maintaining high clinical relevance.
JWRH uses a single-blind peer review model, where reviewers are anonymous and authors are known to reviewers. We may accommodate anonymized review when requested and appropriate.
Reviewers are selected for subject expertise and asked to evaluate methodology, clinical relevance, reporting clarity, and ethical compliance. Additional reviewers may be invited for complex submissions.
Editorial decisions are made independently of APC payments, sponsorship, or institutional affiliations. Decisions are based solely on scientific rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal scope.
We aim for timely decisions and transparent communication throughout the review process.
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose potential conflicts of interest. Any relationships that could influence interpretation or decision making must be declared to maintain transparency.
All manuscripts and reviewer reports are treated as confidential. Reviewers must not share, cite, or use unpublished content. Editorial communications are restricted to those directly involved in the review process.
- Human studies require ethics approvals and documented informed consent.
- Clinical trials must include registry identifiers when applicable.
- Conflict of interest disclosures are mandatory for all authors.
- Plagiarism and redundant publication are not permitted.
Authors are encouraged to follow recognized reporting frameworks such as CONSORT, PRISMA, STROBE, and COREQ. Clear methodology, statistical transparency, and reproducible reporting strengthen peer review and reader trust.
Authors must provide data availability statements and ensure that statistical methods and results are reported clearly. When data cannot be shared, authors must explain restrictions and describe access conditions.
All listed authors must meet authorship criteria and approve the final manuscript. Contributions should be transparent and aligned with recognized guidelines for authorship accountability.
- Suspected fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism will be investigated.
- Duplicate submissions or redundant publication are grounds for rejection.
- Failure to disclose conflicts of interest may lead to editorial action.
JWRH issues corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when necessary to maintain the accuracy of the scholarly record. Authors must cooperate with investigations and respond to editorial queries promptly.
If authors use AI for language editing or analysis, this must be disclosed in the manuscript. Authors remain responsible for accuracy, originality, and ethical compliance.
JWRH maintains clear separation between editorial decisions and any advertising or sponsorship activity. Editorial content is not influenced by commercial considerations.
We welcome scholarly discussion and corrections when new evidence emerges. Readers can contact the editorial office if they identify errors or have concerns about published work.
All appeals are reviewed by a senior editor for fairness.
