Focused Collections for Emerging Priorities

Special issues highlight priority topics and bring together multidisciplinary research across women's health.

Collections are guided by guest editors and reviewed by the journal to ensure consistent quality.

How Ongoing Issues Work

Ongoing special issues are themed collections open for submissions during defined periods. Accepted articles are published as they become ready, creating a rolling collection of evidence around a shared focus.

These collections help consolidate emerging evidence and give readers a single destination for new findings in a fast-moving area of reproductive health.

  • Higher visibility within a focused research community.
  • Opportunity to contribute to a curated evidence base on a priority topic.
  • Collaboration with guest editors and expert reviewers in the field.
  • Alignment with policy and practice priorities in reproductive health.

Post-Acceptance Publication

Accepted manuscripts are copyedited and typeset before final publication. Articles appear online as soon as proofs are approved, and the collection is updated continuously.

Peer Review and Editorial Oversight

Guest editors support reviewer selection and thematic alignment, but all manuscripts are evaluated through the journal's standard editorial workflow. The editorial office retains final decision authority to ensure consistency and integrity.

APC and Waiver Considerations

Special issue articles follow the same APC policy as regular submissions. Discount or waiver requests should be made during submission and will be assessed by the editorial office based on eligibility. Fee questions can be sent to [email protected].
