Aims and Scope

Journal of Embryology (JE) is devoted to the advancement of knowledge in the area of embryology. The journal publishes scientific papers on a wide range of topics in this field, from the molecular aspects of early development to the clinical outcomes of research. Original research, reviews, and case reports are welcome to provide readers with up-to-date information on progress in the field. 

 

Embryology is the branch of science dealing with the development of an embryo or fetus from conception to birth. Embryology seeks to understand the physical, chemical, and biological events that occur within the embryo during its development. Different researchers focus their attention on various aspects of embryology such as genomics, molecular biology, and physical processes such as growth and morphogenesis, developmental biology, stem cell biology and genetics, evolution, fertility, and infertility, used to understand a wide range of human and non-human conditions such as diseases and disorders. 

 

This journal provides the opportunity for authors to publish the latest results on disorders of embryonic and fetal development, cellular and molecular embryology, embryological development of organ systems, and advances in embryological research relevant to reproductive technologies. It focuses on original manuscripts, reviews, short communications, and case reports related to the development and growth of embryos. It is a platform for researchers, academics, and medical professionals alike to discover and share the latest research findings in the field of embryology. The journal incorporates topics in pre- and postimplantation development, organogenesis, embryonic histology, organ culture and biomaterials science, embryo implantation and transplantation, reproduction and fertility, artificial reproduction and embryo transfer, in-utero therapeutics, and teratology.

 

Embryology is an interdisciplinary area of research, focusing on the development of an organism from the fertilized egg to the early stages of adult life. The process of embryogenesis (or development) covers a wide range of topics, including cell fate determination, stem cell biology, and epigenetic processes. Embryology is a rapidly changing field, as new discoveries and insights continue to expand our understanding of the fundamental genetic and cellular mechanisms involved in the formation of complex life cycles. The broad scope of the journal includes topics such as early embryonic development, organogenesis, genomic imprinting, embryopathies, regenerative medicine, embryo toxicology, gene expression, and epigenetics. The journal also encourages submissions related to cell/tissue engineering, developmental genetics, and stem cell biology.

 

The goal of the JE is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas between researchers from different disciplines. The journal encourages interdisciplinary research, relevance to the field, and creative thinking. The editors welcome manuscripts from all theoretical perspectives, including those that present new methods and technologies, as well as those that provide theoretical insights into current research directions. In human embryology, advances in genetics, stem cell technology, and regenerative medicine are revolutionizing the field, with implications for fertility, infertility, and reproductive health.

 

Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts that are well-written, well-structured, and demonstrate thorough experimental design. In order to ensure the highest quality, manuscripts will be evaluated using standard good laboratory practice, and authors are encouraged to include a detailed description of their methodologies.
