Biography
Professor Mohamed Abumandour is a Professor at Alexandria University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Alexandria, Egypt, where his research focuses on comparative and functional morphology across diverse vertebrate species. With over 76 indexed publications, his work employs gross anatomical, histological, and scanning electron microscopy techniques to elucidate structural adaptations in various animal taxa. His most-cited publication, "Gross morphological, histological and scanning electron specifications of the oropharyngeal cavity of the hooded crow (Corvus cornix pallescens)" (2020), has received 49 citations and exemplifies his detailed approach to understanding anatomical specializations in relation to feeding ecology and species-specific functional demands. Professor Abumandour's contributions advance the fields of veterinary anatomy and comparative morphology through rigorous descriptive and analytical investigations.
